Course Objectives | |
Numerical study of the resistance of structures and tools in hot forging (contact and abrasion). Study of the results related to the thermomechanical properties of the hot forging process. |
Syllabus | |
Teaching in the form of a project realized with the Forge simulation software. TP 1: Introduction to wear on hot forging tooling and the use of Forge in the case of tooling calculation Mini-project : - Choice of the study room and design, - Creation of the first version of tools - Implementation of rigid, decoupled and coupled digital simulations - Treatment of the results specific to the tools - Forging parameters study (forged material, lubrication, temperature) - Understanding thermomechanical phenomena and process optimization - Presentation of the results by group: at each session 10min / group + mini-project defense in the last session. |
