I- Introduction: definition, history, classification of organic polymers by origins, fields of application, dimensionality, compositions, thermomechanical behavior. II- Notion of macromolecule: molar mass and mass distribution, architecture of a macromolecule, III- Covalent bonds and cohesive forces IV-Configuration and stereoregularity of macrocromolecules V-Syntheses of macromolecules: chain polymerization and polycondensation VI- Structure of polymers: amorphous and semi-crystalline polymers (glass transition temperature and melting temperature. |
