Mechanical behavior of materials (1A)
Course Objectives | |
The objectives of this course are the understanding of the modelisation of elastic strain of materials and structures.
Syllabus | |
- Introduction on the elastic domain of materials - Study of equilibrium by static considérations - Stress tensor and Mohr diagrams - Strain tensor - Hooke law - Strain energy - Strain measurements - Torsor cohesion - Beam deformation |
|
Practical work (TD or TP)
Many examples and problems are shown all along this course.
Acquired skills | |
After this course, the students should be able to understand and modelise the deformation of an object submitted to various loads taking into account the nature of the materials used and its shape provided that the loads do not overcome the elastic limit of the materials.
