Course Objectives
To introduce digital signal processing in a deterministic context, from the basic grounding that was studied in signal and system representation. The classes are articulated around the time-frequency duality and the effects of the position of the poles and zeros over the time and frequency characterization of digital filters.
Syllabus
Introduction Discrete convolution and correlation Fourier transform Time and Frequency duality Spectral Analysis Window Functions Time and frequency domain response of digital filters Synthesis of FIR and IIR filters
Practical work (TD or TP)
The seminar classes and the practical works help the students to understand better the digital signal processing problems. The main ideas covered in these classes are studied by means of specific applications ; a set of usual problems is treated with MATLAB
