Course Objectives
The aim of this course is to acquire a complex knowledge of the electronic payment architectures and specifically of the exchanges between the actors. The students should be able to explain the way an electronic transaction may evolve according different modifying parameters.
Syllabus
1. Overview
Explanation of the goals of the course and some reminders about the prerequisites. Introduction of the 15 corners scheme.

2. The SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) payment solutions
Presentation of the SCT (SEPA Credit Transfert), the SDD (SEPA Direct Debit) and the SCF (SEPA Card Framework).

3. New operators
Introduction of the new payment operators created by the PSD2 (European Directive) in a 15-corners scheme. Details of the architectures for the transactions using PI (Payment Institutions), EMI (Electronic Money Issuers) or PSP (Payment Service Providers).

4. The new payment solutions
This sections deals specifically with the payment solutions for the distance selling, the “telecom money”, the tokenised systems and the electronics wallets.

Acquired skills
In-depth knowledge of French and European electronic payments architecture (low and high level), as well as the transactional exchanges between the actors of the payments.
