Lessons : 9 h TD : 3 h TP : 9 h Project : 0 h Total : 21 h
Co-ordinator : Stephane Flament
Prerequisite
Fourier transform
Course Objectives
Specify the principles which govern the electronic systems of transmission of information and of communication, from the component until the coding of data for the transmissions of data at high speed by hertzian or wire canal.
Syllabus
- Why is electronics semiconductor?
- The major fields of electronics and communications: Amplification, Computers, Memory storage, Filtering, Wireless communication circuits ...
- The role of the transistor and its use in logic, memory storage, analog electronics, communications
- Relationship between Power consumption and clock speed of processors
- Wireless communications: Contactless cards, Antennas
- Digital communications: What is the maximum speed of a digital communication? Notions of bit error rate and coding
Practical work (TD or TP)
The practicals implement a certain number of principles approached in class through the study and the realization of an electronic card. Example: Ultrasonic radar.
