Objectifs de l'enseignement
Donner aux étudiants une compréhension de la physique associée aux sources d'ion, à la faisceaulogie et à laccélération des ions
Programme détaillé
I) Introduction: radioactive beams for the study of fundamental
interactions in nuclear beta decay
a. Beta decay processes in super allowed and mirror transitions
b. Search for exotic currents in the weak interaction
II) Stable ion beam production
a. Ion sources (surface ionization, ECR, FEBIAD…)
b. Accelerators (Cyclotrons, LINAC…)
III) Radioactive ion beam production
a. In flight production (fragmentation, fusion-evaporation)
b. ISOL production (fragmentation)
IV) Beam purification techniques
a. In flight separators
b. Gas-cells & laser ionization sources
c. Purification techniques for low energy beams
V) Measurement techniques
a. Precision decay spectroscopy
b. Ion and atom Traps (Penning, Paul traps, MOTs)
