Lessons : 12 h TD : 9 h TP : 12 h Project : 0 h Total : 33 h
Co-ordinator : Olivier Gehan
Prerequisite
Mathematics
Signals and systems
Course Objectives
The basics of SISO continuous time control are first presented. The stability analysis together with the closed-loop performances criteria are detailed. The relations between frequency and temporal performances are studied. One degree of freedom PI and PI + phase advance controllers are then presented and the controller's design are based on a frequency approach.
Syllabus
Introduction
Feedback concept and closed-loop structure
Stability of closed loop systems
Performances analysis (frequency and time domains)
Frequency Control design of PI controllers
Practical work (TD or TP)
The different concepts are illustrated through several exemples in simulation and experimental processes (ball and beam, robot, heating process)
Acquired skills

Closed-loop systems analysis (stability and performances)
Frequency domain control design for continuous -time systems (PI controllers)
