Objectifs de l'enseignement | |
Cellular telecommunications, GPS, satellite television, WiFi, Bluetooth, wireless sensors: wireless applications are growing rapidly. The course "Antennas, Microwaves and EMC" aims at giving the basic concepts necessary to analyze, and implement the components of a wireless communication system from the antenna to the amplifier. Microwave computer-aided design (CAD) methods and microwave measurement techniques are introduced by means of practical works. |

Scattering matrix (used to characterize devices and system behavior), Fluence graph, Mason rules and reduction methods. Passive and active devices commonly used in microwave subsystems (directional and 3 dB couplers, adapters, isolators/circulators, power divider, combiners, amplifiers (stability), mixers) Two-port network signal transmission Antennas in transmission and reception (impedance, radiation diagram, effective area, directional gain, several types of antennas...).
