French as a foreign language - 1st year
Course Objectives
1. Improve the writing skills of the student;
2. Help in the drafting of the professional project of a soon-to-be engineer.
Syllabus
1: Press review: - Build and write a press kit by searching for different articles on a chosen topic in French, English and their mother tongue
Write a critical written summary of the research results.


2: Meeting of cultures: study of a topic concerning the country in which you will carry out your internship, creation of a presentation/communication medium for the forum

3:Writing: CV writing and analysis, cover letter, error analysis and autocorrection
Speaking: simulation of a job interview
Practical work (TD or TP)
Written comprehension: analysis of press articles; elaboration of the lexicon, analysis and synthesis of documents
Oral defence: Presentations


Writing: Professional Project
Oral defence: Presentations of the student’s professional project
Acquired skills
Specific competences

Level B2/C1 in the five competences
Can write a CV and cover letter in French.
Can communicate with a degree of fluency and spontaneity during a professional interview.

General Competences
Unit of competence: taking into consideration the organisational, personal and cultural aspect.
Level 2: Can integrate into the corporate environment – communication and management.
Level 2 to 3: Can work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.
